The secret of good taste
- Menbei use cod roe caught during the cold winter months of December to January, the peak of the pollock fishing season. Mixed with own seasonings based on chili peppers and make several kinds of seasoning liquid according to the fish roe. For Menbei, it uses Mentaiko (spicy cod roe) which is specially manufactured to go with Menbei.
- Ingredients for a deep taste, the main ingredient of starch in rice crackers is sourced from Hokkaido, northern Island of Japan. Then they add squid, octopus and Mentaiko to create a deep-flavored rice cracker called “Menbei”, which is full of the flavor of seafood.
Each packet contains two crackers of Menbei.
